A broker asked for a 7 day extension promising the seller would pay damages if they didn’t close, then 7 days later revealed the seller had no money to close and no way to pay damages.

Whats the shortfall? Brokers can split the difference and take a lower commission to get the deal done. Tbh I’ve never seen a deal where the seller has to pay the buyer to take possession. At that point they just walk and let the bank do their thing with the courts.
@daytraitors short fall was 14k I am told on a 155k sale.
