What do you do if a seller refuses to give your inspectors access to the property? 🤔

One of our team members just dealt with this. The pest inspector needed access to the subfloor, but the seller refused… even though there were concerns about possible standing water and major damage under the home.

The buyer was basically forced to either remove contingencies without a full inspection or cancel the deal.

Personally, as a buyer, I would never move forward with that many unknowns. If access is denied, you have to ask… what is the seller hiding? 👀

And if I were the listing agent, I would be having a very serious conversation with my client before continuing to represent them.
