This one is personal for me. I go to Pressed Juicery constantly. When I’m exhausted or feel a cold coming on, that’s my first stop. So yeah, this one stings 🧃
And here’s the part that nobody seems to be talking about: employees reportedly had no idea the closure was happening. They found out through the news. Not from corporate. Not from management. The news.
This is also the second Sacramento-area location to close in just a few months. Folsom Palladio shut down in March after 10 years.
So what’s really going on? 👇
Is rent too high? Is inflation making it impossible for businesses to survive? Can our community not afford to support these places? Or is it poor business management?

Every instance can be unique obviously, but I always lean to rent being too high and landlords wanting too much. Just look at Pangaea and Sibling by Pushkin’s. Both restaurants were in their locations for years with loyal customer bases, and both had to close because the landlords raised the rent and they could no longer afford it. Rents are out of control, would t be surprised if the same thing happened here
